We have found it helpful to offer a pre-class activity for students as they first arrive to bible class. This is a great way to review previous bible stories and keep students occupied as the teacher(s) visit with the children, greet visitors or take roll right before class begins. To do this we enlarged activity sheets on brightly colored 11x17 tagboard and laminated them for durability. (We enlarged the worksheets at 130% and trimmed it slightly before laminating). The children may write on them with vis-a-vis pens and the worksheets can then be wiped clean with a damp paper towel or baby wipe. We found this to be economical, plus our 3rd graders really enjoyed them!
